Modoc's Legacy

Here we have Legacy with my nephew Tyrus and (her boy) on a ride to hunting camp in the Nanuem canyon. The other is of Tyrus's mom and my sister Melissa riding my Prince Alexander aka: Alex

Mustang Hy's Git-R-Dun aka: Graham

Here are some more pictures of my little boy Graham. He is a year and a half now and I think i will get him gelded asap. I don't think he is to happy being alone and unable to play with his brother and sister. Is'nt that the cutest face you have ever seen?

It's going to be a white christmas

Well we sure got a lot of snow last night and more on the way. The horses are staying plenty warm tho as you can see in these pictures. I got all the horses shoes pulled so they are off for the winter. Here we have Lil Miss Mesquite, Hillbilly Buck, and Caramel Candy waiting for breakfast. The snow on their backs shows me they are warm.

Winter is upon us

Well WE GOT SNOW!

Winter is upon us and I just spent 2 days pulling shoes off my horses. WoW what a job. My sister and I decided we don't want to be farriers. LOL It took awhile to figure out how as we had never done that before. With trial and error and a run to the store for something warm and time to think about this, we got er done.

All I can say is I am so lucky my horses are patient.

Mustang Hy's Abbi Rae

This is my beautiful black and white. She is named after our 1st granddaughter. I adopted her on her 1st birthday (March 6 2003)( She was 2yrs old) hence her name. When I brought her home she was 2 yrs. old and of course wild. She was however very quiet. When we unloaded her she just walked out of the trailer like she had been here befor and had no worries. I let her settle down for a couple days befor I started making friends with her. All was going well until I noticed she was bagging up. That was my first que that she was going to have a baby. Exactly 2 months to the day (May 6th 2003) She delivered to me a filly. I decided To give her some time with her new baby so I posponed her training. Two months later I broke my wrist loading horses so all training went by the wayside for the summer. When training resumed I had to start over but things went alot faster. I entered her into our local fair. Welcome to the real world Abbi Rae. That was a break through. from that time on she would let me do anything. She is pictured her tied to my trailer(for the 1st time) and stood perfectly quiet why we loaded 250lbs. on her to pack into hunting camp.(without incedent) I am now riding her and so can anyone, my mother, 3yr old nephew. South steens mustangs are amazing.

My mustangs

I have 8 mustangs right now. I have been adopting and gentling wild mustangs for August 1991. My first mustang was and still is Lady Bug now registered as Miss Ladybug. She has given me many years of riding and many wonderful foals. I still have Ladybug and she is my best horse. I have had many horses and gentled many and am now down to the 8 I will keep. I love riding in the mountains with my husband and camping with our horses.
